The Conference “4. Days of Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina” was held in Neum on 26 and 27 October 2023. The Conference was organized by the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Law Affairs, the coordinating body of the Spatial Data Infrastructure in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Lectures were delivered in four sessions by experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Sweden. The main objective of the Conference was to review and present the progress achieved in the subject field, as well as to present the works and exchange opinions among the participants.
The Institute for the Protection of Monuments of the FBiH has started preparing the data for the Register of Protected and Recorded Assets of Cultural and Historical Heritage, that is kept in the Institute, in order to present them on the IPP FBiH Geoportal. This will enable searching and reviewing the relevant data, which will contribute to more efficient protection of heritage. Firstly, the Institute has to prepare an Action Plan and then, its employees will have to undergo relevant education in cooperation with the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs.
The Spatial Data Infrastructure Days Conference was attended for the first time by the Institute’s employees, Azra Tunović, Senior Specialist for Archaeological and Architectural Heritage, and Ornela Rezinović, Senior Associate for Information and Documentation.
