Assistant Minister for Youth, Adis Salkić, met today in the premises of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with the Director of the National Library of Mostar – Children’s Department, Omer Mičijević. Director Mićijević presented the project titled “Five Days Without Screens”, which had been successfully implemented in Mostar with 48 participants. The project is based on the assumption that the problem of excessive mobile phones use and addiction of children and young adults to screens in general has already advanced that much, that it is absolutely necessary to treat this social phenomenon with different activities and methods.
Assistant Salkić congratulated on the results achieved during the implementation of the project and expressed the expectation that the Public Library of Mostar would continue with this activity and implement the project with partner organizations in other cities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, Salkić expressed the belief that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports would in the forthcoming period find opportunities to support this and similar projects of social significance.
