The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports held a meeting with representatives of clubs whose athletes won medals at world championships.


On Friday, 17 April 2026, a meeting was held at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with representatives of sports clubs regarding the implementation of a new model of financing clubs, i.e. preparations for competitions of athletes who won medals at world championships recognized by relevant international sports organizations.

The meeting was attended by: Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević, Secretary of the Ministry Adis Salkić, representative of the Sports Sector Marko Komšić, as well as representatives of sports clubs: Swimming Club “Spid”, Karate Club “Ippon”, Taekwondo Club “Asim Bajraktarević Hamza”, Taekwondo Club “Tigar” Cazin, Martial Arts Club “Taekyon”, Martial Sports Club “Titanium”, Taekwondo Club Sarajevo and Taekwondo Club Novi Grad.

During the meeting, they discussed the improvement of the support system for top athletes, a more transparent and fair model of distribution of funds, as well as the creation of more stable foundations for their further development and international success. The representatives of the clubs presented their proposals and suggestions in order to implement the new model as efficiently as possible, stressing the need for continuous support for top sports.

It was concluded that the Ministry, in cooperation with sports federations and clubs, will continue activities on the finalization and improvement of the proposed model, with the aim of strengthening the sports system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
