Minister Vlaisavljević’s congratulatory message on the occasion of the opening of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival

Dear Mr. Marjanović,

Dear Mr. Mujan,

To all of you who have spent months, days, and hours preparing this 32nd cinematic marvel,

It is with great joy and pride that I extend my warmest congratulations on the occasion of tonight’s opening of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival. Tonight, Sarajevo once again opens its heart to art—the Festival lights will illuminate the streets, and the city will begin to breathe to the unique rhythm of film, encounters, and creativity, continuing to live the story of a city that knows how to love art and offer warmth to all who visit.

As Minister of Culture, I feel deep gratitude that Sarajevo is the place where diverse languages, sensibilities, and visions merge, and where audiences rediscover, year after year, the power of film to connect and inspire. The Festival is our pride, our bridge to the world, and a cultural beacon that places Sarajevo prominently on the global map.

For more than three decades, the Sarajevo Film Festival has brought joy and inspiration, opened up vast realms of imagination, and affirmed that art speaks a universal language. During these days, Sarajevo becomes a global stage—a city where continents meet, where the world comes to Sarajevo, and Sarajevo opens itself to the world like a stage where diverse cultures and hearts converge. It is precisely this exchange that creates a special magic and confirms that the Sarajevo Film Festival is a true cultural phenomenon.

Along with my warmest congratulations, I extend my heartfelt wishes for a successful opening and a rich festival program.
