On 29 September 2026, the completion of facade works on St. Michael’s Church in Vareš was ceremoniously marked as part of the parish’s patron saint celebration.

This year’s celebration also marked the 510th anniversary of the first St. Michael’s Church in Vareš.

Routine maintenance work on the facade of St. Michael’s Church was carried out under the expert conservation supervision of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments; a representative of the Institute, Lamija Abdijević, attended the celebration alongside numerous other dignitaries.
