As part of the action plan for visiting recipients of approved funding, Adnan Bektić—an expert advisor for international cooperation within the Ministry’s Youth Sector—conducted a field visit on September 23, 2026, to the “Stolac Media” Citizens’ Association in Stolac. The purpose of the visit was to review documentation and activities related to the implementation of the project “Young Creatives Stolac – Digital Academy and Creative Ideas,” which received Ministry funding in the amount of 9,000.00 KM.
The project aims to empower young people from Stolac by developing their digital, communication, and creative skills and by integrating them into the community’s social and cultural life. It focuses on creating quality opportunities for youth to acquire new knowledge and practical skills, foster creativity and communication abilities, and become more actively involved in the local community’s social and cultural activities.
During the visit, representatives of the “Stolac Media” Citizens’ Association informed the Ministry representative that, at the time of the visit, the implementation of planned project activities had not yet commenced. They cited the need to align project activities with the start of the new school year as the reason for the delay, given that the project’s target group consists of students and young people from the Stolac area. During the preparatory phase, representatives of the Association held a series of meetings with schools in the Stolac area to present the project and prepare for its implementation. As part of these activities, schools were asked to identify and nominate students interested in participating in the project so that, once the target group was formed, the planned activities of the Digital Academy and other project components could proceed.
Upon reviewing the available documentation and information provided by the Association’s representatives, it was noted that the project “Young Creatives Stolac – Digital Academy and the Idea of Creativity” had not yet been implemented by the time of the field visit; however, certain preparatory activities essential for its launch had been carried out. Particular emphasis is placed on the preparatory meetings with schools and the efforts to identify interested students for inclusion in the project activities.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continues to actively monitor the project’s implementation in the field to ensure the transparent and responsible use of public funds, as well as to track the execution of planned activities aimed at developing young people’s digital, communication, and creative skills, empowering them, and fostering their active participation in the social and cultural life of the local community.
