Contracts with beneficiaries of the Capital Transfer to Other Levels of Government and Funds for the construction, adaptation, and reconstruction of sports infrastructure were ceremonially signed today at the premises of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.

Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, signed contracts with the Mayor of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, for two projects: “Construction of a Roof Structure Above the South Stand of Grbavica Stadium” and “Construction of the South Stand of Grbavica Stadium.”

A contract was also signed with the Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, Kenan Magoda, for the allocation of funds for the project “Phase III of the Reconstruction and Modernization of Existing Sports Facilities at the Sarajevo Butmir Training Centre, Including the Renovation of Natural and Artificial Turf Surfaces, the Construction of Additional Multifunctional Playing Fields, and the Enhancement of Infrastructure Capacities Required for the Professional Development of Athletes.”

The total amount approved for the three projects is BAM 3.7 million.

Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević emphasized that investing in sports infrastructure means investing in the future of younger generations, creating better conditions for recreation, and strengthening community spirit within local communities.

The signatories expressed their gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports for the allocated funding, highlighting that the implementation of these projects will significantly contribute to the advancement of sport in Sarajevo and create numerous new opportunities for young people.
