The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports today signed agreements on the allocation of financial resources with representatives of parishes and monasteries in Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of a program intended for the protection, restoration and preservation of cultural and historical heritage.

A total of KM 440,000.00 has been allocated for the implementation of approved projects, whereby the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continues to provide continuous support for the preservation of sacral buildings and cultural assets that represent an invaluable part of the cultural and historical heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Contracts were signed with the representatives of the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Prisoja (Tomislavgrad), the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua Bihać, the Parish of St. Elijah the Prophet Zenica, the Diocese of Trebinje-Mrka for the projects “Sarsenterum” Stolac, the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua Dobretici, the Parish of St. Mihovil Arkandjela Vareš, the Parish of St. Josip Rankovići Novi Travnik, the Parish of St. John the Baptist Jelah, the Franciscan Monastery of St. John the Baptist Kraljeva Sutjeska, the Parish of Glavosiek St. John the Baptist Odžak and the Parish of Our Lady of Snježna Deževice.

The allocated funds will be used for the implementation of projects for the protection, rehabilitation, restoration and preservation of church buildings and their valuable cultural and historical heritage. The implementation of these projects will contribute to the preservation of the authenticity of religious buildings, the improvement of their condition and the protection of cultural heritage for future generations.

The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports emphasized that the Ministry, through its programs, continuously invests in the preservation of the cultural and religious heritage of all peoples and communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognizing its importance for the preservation of identity, cultural diversity and mutual respect.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will continue to implement support programs aimed at the protection, restoration and valorization of national monuments, sacral buildings and other assets of cultural significance in the coming period, confirming its commitment to preserving the rich cultural and historical heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
