On 24 September 2026, Hanadin Basarić, a representative of the Youth Sector at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited the “Center for Education and Training” Association to monitor the implementation of the “SkillUp II” project.

By the time of the visit, the Association had carried out four project activities involving work with beneficiaries: the “Competence Passport,” “Entrepreneurial Story,” and information and outreach activities targeting specific groups. These activities provided young people with opportunities to develop their knowledge and competencies, explore avenues for personal and professional growth, and gain further information about the project’s offerings and opportunities.

The Association’s president highlighted that, during the implementation process so far, special attention has been paid to increasing the project’s visibility within the local community and the media. Promotional and informational activities aim to reach a larger number of young people and further motivate them to participate in project activities—particularly those focused on competence development and labor market preparation.

Currently, activities are underway to prepare the “Business Academy for Youth,” which is scheduled to begin in mid-October and run through November and December 2026. The Business Academy is structured around four thematic modules covering various areas essential for the development of young people’s business and professional skills.

The first module covers an introduction to entrepreneurship, while the second is dedicated to writing project proposals and project management. The third module addresses administration and protocol, and the fourth focuses on sales techniques. Through this curriculum, young people will gain practical knowledge and skills applicable to launching their own business ventures, working within organizations and institutions, and furthering their professional development.

The project’s implementation to date, as well as the preparation for upcoming activities, has focused on empowering young people, developing their competencies, and raising awareness about opportunities for education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Of particular importance is the continuation of activities through the Business Academy, which will offer young people further professional development through concrete, practical topics.

This visit is part of the monitoring process for projects funded by resources allocated for youth, aimed at ensuring transparency, the responsible use of awarded funds, and an assessment of the results achieved by the supported projects.
