A formal contract-signing ceremony was held today at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports. Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević signed agreements with city and municipal leaders to allocate funds from the “Capital Transfers to Other Levels of Government and Funds” budget line for the construction, renovation, and reconstruction of sports infrastructure. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in the development of sports and community spirit, while reaffirming the Ministry’s determination to contribute to building a stronger and healthier Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina through investments in sports infrastructure.

Funds were awarded to the City of Cazin for Phase II of the municipal swimming pool construction project; the Municipality of Velika Kladuša for the reconstruction, expansion, and refurbishment of the municipal sports hall; the City of Bosanska Krupa for the expansion of the municipal sports hall/gym; the Municipality of Doboj Jug for Phase III of the Doboj Jug sports center construction project; the City of Tuzla for three projects: “Refurbishment of multi-purpose courts,” “Development of a bicycle and pedestrian path along the M-4 southern main road,” and “Modernization of street workout parks”; and the Municipality of Maglaj, also for three projects: “Construction of an artificial turf football pitch,” “Construction of a sports hall – continuation,” and “Refurbishment of the sports hall roof.”

A total of 4,320,000 KM was allocated to the municipalities and cities for these projects.

Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević emphasized that investing in sports infrastructure means investing in the strength of the people, the health of the community, and the future of young generations. Furthermore, she expressed her conviction that such investments help build a Federation that believes in its people and its future.

The signatories highlighted that projects of this kind represent a new source of strength for local communities, as sports halls and centers, multi-purpose courts, tracks, and swimming pools create new opportunities for young people, provide more space for gathering, and foster a greater sense of pride in their community. They expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports for the allocated funds, noting that the implementation of these projects would significantly improve conditions for sports and recreation in their local areas.
