The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević and Director of the Directorate for the Construction of the Sports Centre in Mostar, Edin Prašo, signed today in the premises of the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports the Financing Agreement for the first tranche in the amount of KM 1,600,000.00 for the purpose of constructing the Olympic swimming pool in Mostar. The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted at its 353^rd session, held on 9 March 2023, the Decision on the Adoption of the Expenditure Programme with the Criteria for the Distribution of Funds “Capital Transfers to Other Levels of Government and Funds – Construction of the Swimming-pool in Mostar” in the amount of KM 8 million and thereby gave an exceptional boost to the sports infrastructure.

The signatories concluded that this was just one of many future steps towards improvement and creation of the conditions for better and more successful performance of sports activities for our athletes, but also for all interested citizens of the City of Mostar and the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports is ready to implement the remaining amount of funds in accordance with the dynamics of the construction of the Olympic pool in Mostar.
