Action Plan Visits of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports: Visit to the Visoko Scout Troop
As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of approved funding, on 8 September 2026, Adnan Bektić, Expert Advisor for International Cooperation within the Youth Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited the Association “Visoko Scout Troop”.
The purpose of the visit was to review the documentation and activities related to the implementation of the project “Leadership through Nature”, which was supported by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with funding in the amount of BAM 5,000.00.
For many years, the Visoko Scout Troop has brought together young people and provided them with opportunities for non-formal education, outdoor activities, and the development of personal and practical skills. The project “Leadership through Nature” was designed to address the needs of young people for leadership development, the acquisition of practical skills, global networking, and active participation in society.
The project comprises a total of nine activities. By the date of the field visit, the following activities had already been implemented, among others:
- A three-day stay in the mountains, including campsite setup, a leadership workshop, a hiking activity combined with orienteering tasks, and a workshop on leading small teams;
- Field training activities on the Drežnica and Grabovica rivers;
- Field training on Mount Kalin;
- A three-day scouting competition involving scout teams in the mountainous areas surrounding Visoko.
Through the implementation of the project, the Visoko Scout Troop is also carrying out activities aimed at re-establishing the Youth Council of the City of Visoko through initiative meetings and the networking of young people from schools and associations. To date, between 300 and 400 young people have participated in the project activities.
Upon completion of the project, the Visoko Scout Troop will, in accordance with its contractual obligations, submit a comprehensive financial report on the intended expenditure of the approved funds, together with all supporting documentation.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continues to actively monitor the implementation of supported projects in the field, with the aim of ensuring the transparent and responsible use of public funds.
At the same time, the Ministry continues to provide support for programmes aimed at young people, particularly those that contribute to the development of their knowledge and skills, professional advancement, innovation, and active participation in society.
