Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević today signed contracts at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with representatives of majlis councils, mufti offices, institutions, and organizations operating under the umbrella of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Funds in the total amount of 885,000 BAM have been allocated through the program of capital transfers to non-profit organizations for projects of construction, adaptation, reconstruction, and preservation of facilities of religious, cultural, and social significance.

The contracts were signed by representatives of the Majlis of the Islamic Community Gradačac, Majlis of the Islamic Community Bosanska Krupa, Majlis of the Islamic Community Konjic, the Mostar Muftiate, the Waqf Directorate of the Islamic Community in BiH, the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH, Majlis of the Islamic Community Cazin, Majlis of the Islamic Community Sarajevo, the Tariqat Center in BiH, the Meyli Foundation, and the Majlis of the Islamic Community Zenica.

Minister Vlaisavljević emphasized that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continuously supports projects that contribute to the preservation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s spiritual, cultural, and architectural heritage, highlighting that religious facilities and institutions represent an important part of the identity of many local communities. “By supporting projects of restoration, construction, and protection of facilities of cultural and historical significance, we safeguard valuable heritage and create better conditions for future generations,” the Minister stated.

The allocated funds will enable the implementation of projects across the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby enhancing the protection and preservation of facilities of significant religious, cultural, and social value.
