The representative of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, Hanadin Basarić, participated in the working meeting of the Executive Team for updating of the Strategy for the Prevention and Fight Against Domestic Violence 2024-2027.

The learned patterns of behaviour represent a significant risk factor for domestic violence, because they maintain cultural norms and values ​​such as the acceptability and tolerance of violence. In this regard, the acquisition of new habits, non-violent communication and positive relationships in the family aim to create a social culture with zero tolerance for violence.

In the draft of the updated Strategy document, there is a possibility to support the projects related to the prevention and fight against violence in the family from the transfer of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports in the fields of sports, culture and youth.

The draft text of the Strategy should be released for further procedure in order to become an official document and the basis for further activities directed towards the prevention and suppression of domestic violence.
