We would like to inform the interested public that on 11 May 2026, the Council of the European Union agreed its position on the Regulation for the new Erasmus+ programme cycle for the period 2028-2034, thus taking an important step towards the adoption of the future programme.

The proposed budget of the new Erasmus+ programme is approximately EUR 40.8 billion, and the programme will continue to support education, training, youth and sport through learning opportunities, mobility and capacity building. The new cycle also foresees continued support for youth exchanges, the DiscoverEU initiative and activities in the field of amateur sport.
