A meeting of representatives of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Association of Artists, Athletes and Persons with Disabilities “MISS” from Sarajevo was organized today in the Ministry. On behalf of the Ministry the meeting was attended by Assistant Minister for Sports Adnan Džindo, Head of the Minister’s Office Anita Vlašić and Expert Advisor in the Division for Cultural-Historical Heritage and Culture, Mirela Milićević Šečić, whereas on behalf of the “MISS” Association, the meeting was attended by Association President Slađana Skočajić-Drakovac, Vice-President Sena Aranitović and project coordinator and assistant Edita Drakovac.
On that occasion, the projects implemented in the past period were discussed, which had a significant financial support from the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports. The guests emphasized the importance of recognizing the need to enable people with intellectual disabilities to be creative through music and poetry workshops. Furthermore, future projects were discussed, especially the project to mark 3 December – the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, when a multi-day cultural event will be organized in the “Reumal” complex in Fojnica.
Representatives of the MISS Association expressed their deep gratitude to the employees of the Ministry for their time. It was concluded that support will be continuously provided to the Association of Artists, Athletes and Persons with Disabilities “MISS” from Sarajevo within the possibilities of the Ministry.
