Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized yesterday, on 31 October 2023, a regional conference titled “EU Integration Forum” in the Novotel Bristol Sarajevo hotel. The Conference was financially supported by Sweden The main objective of the “EU Integration Forum” was to open a debate on the issues and challenges of the accelerated process of integration of the Western Balkans countries into full membership of the European Union, in which Bosnia and Herzegovina has also been facing a number of challenges.

The Forum was taken part in by numerous experts in the field of rule of law and accession to the European Union, among others by the following: Minister for European Integration in the Government of Montenegro, Jovana Marović, professor at the Political Sciences Faculty in Sarajevo, Nerzuk Ćurak, Chair of the International Advisory Board of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, Srđan Cvijić and the judge of the Appeal Court in Belgrade, Miodrag Majić.

The conclusion of this three-panel Conference was that the full membership in the European Union is, no matter the difficulties, the only vision of a common future for the citizens of the region.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Forum was attended by Bjanka Alajbegović from the Office of the Minister.
