Selection of representatives from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
for the 60th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2024
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports conducted the procedure of selecting the project proposals, commissioners and institutions organizing the project from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Biennale of Contemporary Art to be held in Venice in 2024, in accordance with the Protocol on the Model of Participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art for the period 2017 – 2019, signed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska.
The Expert Committee for the Selection of Project Proposals, Commissioners and Institutions from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 60th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2024, has chosen the Project of the University Gallery of the University of Mostar titled “Measure of the Sea” by the artist Stjepan Skoka and Commissioner and curator Marin Ivanović.
For more than a century, the Venice Biennale has been the most prestigious, longest-running and internationally visible place for a global meeting of artists, curators, audiences, theorists, museum owners and critics of contemporary art.
The 60th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art will take place from April to November 2024.
