The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević and Assistant Minister for Sports, Adnan Džindo met today in the Ministry with the representatives of the Karate Club “Okinawa”, young karate players Hamza Turulja, Rijad Džuho and Mahir Džuho, and the President of the Club Asmer Šeta.
The Minister welcomed the representatives of the Club to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and congratulated them on the excellent results won in Tirana at the Balkans Seniors Championship, as well as on the previous successes in world competitions.
Šeta informed the Minister about the Club, whose competitors were recording great results on the international scene, and about the plans for the upcoming period. He also pointed out to the difficulties that karate clubs and athletes faced, especially considering the fact that since last year this sport had temporarily lost the status of an Olympic sport, and thus the right to monetary prizes defined by the Decree on Determining the Criteria for Awarding Prizes to Athletes and Sports Workers and Sports Associations from FBiH for Achieving Excellent Sports Results at International Competitions.
