The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, visited the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Suho Polje, Kupres, where she met with the parish priest, Friar Andrija Jozić.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the importance of preserving the cultural and religious heritage of Kupres, as well as on opportunities for future cooperation on projects that contribute to the protection, restoration, and promotion of the region’s cultural heritage.

The Suho Polje Parish holds a special place in the history of Kupres; established as an independent parish in 1873, it has played a vital role in the religious, cultural, and social life of the local community throughout its long history.

Minister Vlaisavljević emphasized that preserving cultural heritage entails caring for both tangible and intangible heritage, while also creating conditions to ensure that the values ​​and traditions of specific regions remain accessible to future generations.

The conversation with Friar Andrija Jozić provided an opportunity to exchange ideas regarding the needs of the Suho Polje Parish and the potential for institutional support for projects crucial to preserving the religious and cultural heritage of Kupres.
