Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, received the representatives of the associations “Young Heroes” and “Ambassadors of the Olympic Mountains”, Amra Bubica and Selma Bojičić.
The topic of discussion was the idea to establish cooperation between the two associations and the Ministry, with the aim of including children with developmental disabilities in sports activities, adapting them to their needs, which, as Bubica and Bojičić pointed out, showed very positive effects in practice. The intention of the joint projects is to help children with developmental difficulties and their families to “discover the empowering and healing power of physical activity” through a different spectrum of activities, emphasised Bubica and Bojičić.
Minister Vlaisavljević stressed the importance of including children with developmental disabilities in all aspects of social life. She also emphasised the readiness of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports to provide full support in this process, according to its possibilities.
Children should be the centre of events and participate in changes in living conditions, whereas the competent institutions should give full support to these changes.
