Restoration and conservation works on the façade of the “Government Building II” are continuing, and during the professional supervision conducted on 17 June 2026, it was confirmed that all works are being carried out in accordance with the project documentation, conservation guidelines, and professional standards.
At the coordination meeting, activities related to works on the northern and western façades of the building were discussed, as well as further steps in project implementation. Special attention was devoted to the protection of façade surfaces, with the application of a hydrophobic coating defined for critical points of the façade, in line with the guidelines of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments. This measure is intended to provide long-term protection of the building against moisture penetration and retention, as well as to safeguard restored and conserved elements.
During the meeting, agreement was also reached on the execution method for the door detail above the passage on the northern façade, ensuring high-quality workmanship while preserving the authentic architectural values of the building.
An inspection of the works completed to date was carried out, establishing that on the northern façade the installation of consoles by restorers is in progress, while on the western façade restoration interventions on the central part of the façade are nearing completion.
It was concluded that the works are proceeding according to the planned dynamics and that all activities are being conducted properly, in line with approved technical solutions and conservation standards, with the aim of preserving one of the significant monuments of the cultural and historical heritage of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
