On Wednesday, 28 May 2025, the initial meeting was held in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH regarding participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the specialised exhibition “Expo 2027” to be held in Belgrade. The meeting was hosted by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, the chambers of commerce of the Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH and the Brčko District, representatives of domestic companies, and ministers and representatives of ministries of the Republika Srpska. Of the invited ministries from the Federal level, only the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports responded positively to the invitation, which was particularly commendable.
Experts from the company “Expo 2027” from Belgrade presented how important it was for a country to participate in the “Expo” exhibition, especially if it was held in the neighborhood, and presented a number of tips and suggestions for preparing the country’s pavilion in order to attract as much attention as possible.
Minister Košarac emphasized that BiH would achieve the best visibility if state structures prepared for the exhibition together with the entities. He announced that he would attend a meeting organised by the exhibition host in mid June, after which more information would be known and the formation of the BiH Organizing Committee for the preparation of participation would follow.
Anita Vlašić, advisor to the Minister, participated in the meeting on behalf of the Ministry.
