As part of the action plan for visiting recipients of approved funding, Tidža Mekić—Head of the Department for Publishing, Library, Visual Arts, Music, and Performing Arts at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports—visited the “Iskra” Citizens’ Association in Stolac on September 23, 2026. The visit aimed to review documentation regarding the implementation of the “Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar Library Days” project, which is taking place from September 1 to September 30, 2026.

The “Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar Library Days” project focuses on preserving and promoting cultural identity, affirming the literary work of local authors, and fostering the literary and cultural heritage associated with the life and work of Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar. The program includes activities designed to bring literature and art closer to various generations, with a special emphasis on children and young people.
The project showcases local authors, including Rezak Hukanović, and the program is enriched by the participation of artists from other regions and countries, such as Saša Kabiljo from Šibenik. The project also features educational and creative content, including guitar workshops, art workshops led by Mirsada Kadribašić, and a program for children organized in collaboration with the Mostar Puppet Theatre.

Based on a review of the available documentation and data regarding project implementation, it has been determined that the project is being carried out in accordance with planned activities and that the beneficiary has prepared the financial documentation relating to the expenditure of the allocated funds.
