The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports has signed contracts with representatives of municipalities and cities belonging to the fourth group of beneficiaries of the Capital Transfer to Other Levels of Government and Funds – Construction, Renovation, and Reconstruction of Sports Infrastructure. Through this action, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continues to strongly support projects that contribute to the development of sports and recreation, reaffirming its mission to build a healthier and more connected Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina through infrastructure investments.
Funds have been allocated to:
The Municipality of Hadžići for the construction of a children’s playground and installation of playground equipment in the “Osenik” settlement, as well as for Phase III of the reconstruction of the FK “Radnik” stadium stands;
The Municipality of Kalesija for the exterior landscaping of the town sports hall;
The Municipality of Čelić for the reconstruction of sports courts within the municipality—specifically in Ratkovići, Velino Selo, and Drijenča;
The Municipality of Vareš for the construction of a sports facility, stands, and changing rooms at the Town Stadium in Vareš Majdan, and for the construction of a cycling and fitness trail connecting Vareš Majdan, Stupni Do, and Mir;
The City of Goražde for the continuation of the project to replace the town stadium’s running track surface with a synthetic (tartan) surface, and for the renovation of the entrance and lobby of the “Mirsad Hurić” town sports hall;
The Municipality of Ilidža for the construction of stands at the main stadium of the Hrasnica Sports Center and for routine roof maintenance at the Sabit Hadžić Hall (managed by the Public Institution “Cultural, Sports, and Recreational Center”);
The Municipality of Stari Grad for the construction of an indoor sports hall with stands next to the “Edhem Mulabdić” Elementary School in the Bistrik local community.
A total of 2,950,000 KM has been allocated for the implementation of these projects.
Minister Vlaisavljević emphasized that investing in sports infrastructure means investing in the health and future of the people. Representatives of the municipalities and cities expressed their gratitude to the Ministry, highlighting that these projects would significantly improve conditions for sports and recreation in their communities and that the new infrastructure would serve as a strong incentive for young people and a gathering place for the entire community.
