The central ceremony of the “Marko Martinović Car 2024” manifestation was held on Saturday, 21 September 2024, in Vitez, where the winners of the international short story competition “Marko Martinović Car 2024”, organised by HKD “Napredak” subsidiary Vitez, were announced and presented with awards.

The winner of this year’s third prize is Atifa Sendić from Zenica with the story “Jugovina”, while the second prize was awarded to Mirko Božić from Mostar and the story “Sajmište”, and the first place was won by “The Story of Refka” by author Alma Zornić from Sarajevo.

The awards to the best short story authors were presented by Nikola Čiča, President of the HKD “Napredak”, Anita Vlašić, Advisor to the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, and Ranko Križanović, Advisor to the Mayor of Vitez Municipality.

The award-presentation ceremony continued with a gathering of authors, organizers and guests in premises of Napredak in Vitez.
