The Forum of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held yesterday in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina with international partner organizations involved in youth-related activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Forum was attended by Assistant Minister for Youth, Adis Salkić, who addressed the participants on the topic Overview of current and future activities in the youth sector in BiH and opportunities for improving cooperation.
In his address, Salkić pointed out that the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina had adopted the Decision on the Initiation of the Process of Developing the Youth Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports would be the bearer of that process. Furthermore, he stated that the Ministry was fully open to cooperation with all interested stakeholders, and also informed the participants that the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Institute for Youth Development “Kult” were already involved in the process, whose involvement ensured expert-consulting support for the entire process and established a partnership with youth organizations.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will endeavour to adequately involve all relevant institutions of different levels of government, youth organizations and those dealing with youth issues, in order to secure adequate measures to be defined by the Strategy, as well as the desired results. The Strategy will be developed based on the views of young people about their problems, needs and proposed solutions that would contribute to the creation of a better environment for the life and development of young people in FBiH. It is envisaged that the young people will be involved throughout the process.
