Assistant Minister for Youth, Adis Salkić, participated in the three-day “Youth Forum West Herzegovina”, organised by the Office for European Integration of the Western Herzegovina Canton, International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and BH Resilience Initiative (BHRI) from 6 to 8 October 2023 in Blidinje.
The main topic of the Forum was connecting the young people, strengthening cooperation with representatives of all levels of authority and institutional cooperation in the light of the EU integration process.
During the presentation in the panel titled “Institutional Support for Youth Initiatives”, Assistant Salkić emphasized that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports was building an open relationship with all youth associations in the Federation of BiH and expected that the cooperation would intensify in the forthcoming period. The Ministry, as he pointed out, was advocating a partnership relationship with youth organisations and young people from the Federation of BiH as a whole, through the FBiH Youth Council, through the process of creating the Youth Strategy in FBiH, which would begin by the end of this year. Also, Salkić thanked the international organisations in BiH that provided programmatic and financial support to projects aimed at improving the position of the young people in BiH, and in particular he thanked the Office for European Integration and the line ministry of the Government of the Western-Herzegovina Canton for organising the mentioned event.
