Action plan of Visits of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports: Visit to the Underwater Research Diving Club “Ardea”


As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of approved funds, Adnan Bektić, an expert advisor for international cooperation from the Ministry’s Youth Sector, visited the Underwater Research Diving Club “Ardea” on 23 September 2026, with the aim of inspecting the documentation and activities related to the implementation of the project “Young Guardians of the Water of Herzegovina”, which is supported by Ministry funds in the amount of KM 8,000.00.23

The goal of the project is to empower young people through sports, ecology, education and volunteering, and to actively involve them in socially useful activities that contribute to their personal development and the development of the local community. The project is aimed at creating quality opportunities for young people through informal education, acquiring practical skills, developing healthy lifestyle habits and strengthening awareness of the importance of protecting natural resources.

So far, more than 50 participants have participated in the project, who through the project activities had the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and practical skills and to be actively involved in sports, educational, ecological and volunteer activities aimed at the protection and preservation of water and the natural environment of Herzegovina.

During the visit, the representatives of the Underwater Research Diving Club “Ardea” informed the representative of the Ministry about the project activities carried out so far, the number of participants, the achieved results, as well as the importance of the project for involving young people in sports, educational, ecological and socially beneficial activities.

After reviewing the available documentation and realized project activities, it was concluded that the project “Young Guardians of the Waters of Herzegovina” was largely implemented at the time of the field visit. More than 50 participants have participated in the activities so far, which contributes to the achievement of the project’s goals aimed at empowering young people, developing practical skills, promoting healthy lifestyles, volunteering and raising awareness of the importance of protecting natural resources. The deadline for the completion of the project is November 30, 2026.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continues to actively monitor the implementation of projects on the ground, with the aim of ensuring transparent and responsible use of public funds, as well as providing support for programs and projects that contribute to the development of sports, education and the active involvement of young people in socially useful activities, the protection of natural resources and the creation of new opportunities for their personal development and the development of the local community.
