As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of approved funding, Adnan Bektić, Expert Advisor for International Cooperation from the Ministry’s Youth Sector, conducted a field visit to the Association “Korektiv for the Improvement and Coordination of Activism in the Local Community” with the aim of monitoring the implementation of the project “Široki Creates: Cultural and Artistic Development of Young People through Creativity and Research.”
The project has been supported by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports through the Youth Transfer Programme in the amount of BAM 8,000.00.
The main objective of the project is to improve the position of young people in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by developing their creative, artistic, social, and organizational competencies, strengthening youth activism, and creating opportunities for their active participation in community life and local decision-making processes.
During the implementation of the project so far, a project team has been established, an operational plan has been defined, and young participants have been selected and engaged. Through introductory workshops, young people were familiarized with the project’s objectives, after which a youth creative team was formed. In the planning phase, young participants worked together with the project team to define activity themes and methods of implementation.
As part of the educational and creative phase, workshops on woodworking, modelling, visual arts and creative expression, as well as creative work focused on themes of identity, emotions, community, and change, have been conducted. The project also includes ongoing promotional activities and media visibility through social media platforms and local media outlets.
At the time of the field visit, the beneficiary had implemented a portion of the planned project activities. Materials necessary for conducting the workshops had been procured, two service contracts had been concluded and the corresponding payments made, including all calculated taxes, while accounting services had also been paid for. The beneficiary has its own premises available for the implementation of project activities.
As the project had not yet been fully implemented on the day of the visit, the beneficiary planned to continue the remaining activities in the coming period in accordance with the established project plan.
Field visits to beneficiaries of approved funding represent an important component of monitoring the implementation of supported projects. Their purpose is to ensure the transparent and purposeful use of public funds, while also assessing achieved results and implemented activities.
