“Under the Open Sky” Ceremony – Art, Music and Emotions Under the Starry Sky

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the “Under the Open Sky” ceremony was held on the Ministry’s terrace as part of the “European Heritage Days” event. The newly renovated terrace, which until recently was just a neglected and unusable roof, became a meeting place for art, music and togetherness, offering the audience an unforgettable cultural experience.

The evening began gently but powerfully with Adna Svraka’s performance in the introductory part of the program in the Ministry’s foyer.

Without interruptions in an excellent atmosphere, the program moved “under the open sky”, to the Ministry’s terrace, where the gathered guests were greeted by the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, announcing a double artistic event – a painting exhibition and musical performances, which opens a new dimension of the cultural space.

“I believe that our Ministry will become a gathering place for a wide variety of cultural events in our city and beyond, and that everyone will want to come to this cultural umbrella of ours in order to promote the good and the beautiful. Today, we are combining architecture, painting, music and everything that brings people together around positive values,” said Minister Vlaisavljević.

Jazz performances by soloist Ivana Zrimšek Šaravanja accompanied by Marko Jakovljević on bass guitar and Josip Bošnjak on keyboards, imbued with sophisticated rhythm and emotional nuances, turned the terrace into a living stage under the clouds.

As part of the program, renowned artist Rikardo Druškić opened his exhibition, which gave the ceremony, in addition to the musical one, a visual dimension. Rikardo’s works, full of symbolism and color, merged with the music and the overall atmosphere of the evening.

After that, the video clip “Elegance for You” by Nihad Maličbegović Nixon was premiered, which further enriched the evening, preparing the ground for its climax, and the climax of the evening was followed by Nixon’s concert. His energy, sincerity and sound filled the space with a power that overcame the rain and brought the audience to their feet.

The ceremony “Under the open sky” showed that art does not require perfect conditions and that a raincoat can be a perfect part of the scenography of an evening that will be remembered for a long time. It was a night in which the sky, people and creativity came together – in a harmony that cannot be described in words, but must be experienced.
