WORLD MUSIC DAY

On the occasion of World Music Day, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports is organizing an event on the Promenade of Culture on Wednesday, 18 June 2025 at 12 0’clock.

The World Music Day, celebrated worldwide on 21 June, was launched in 1982 in France with the aim of promoting music as a universal language that connects people regardless of age, origin or culture.

Music is an art form that has a powerful expression of emotion and identity, enriches culture and stimulates creativity. Through sound and rhythm, it expresses what words cannot and reaches where words stop. Whether it is classical compositions, folk melodies or contemporary hits – music has the ability to awaken feelings and create special moments.
