Jasminko Halilović, founder and Director General of the Museum of Wartime Childhood, and Executive Director, Amina Krvavac visited the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports on 29 April 2024.

Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević welcomed the guests to the Ministry, pointing out that she was familiar with the work of the Museum. Halilović and Krvavac presented the current activities of the Museum of Wartime Childhood and plans for the upcoming period, stressing that their work was not concentrated on Bosnia and Herzegovina only. Namely, they have offices in Ukraine and the Netherlands, which they are particularly proud of, they pointed out.

The Museum was founded in December 2017 and presents a collection of personal items, audio and video testimonies, photographs, letters, drawings and other documents that evoke the experience of growing up during the war-time.

Today’s meeting was an opportunity to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between the Ministry and the Museum, through joint projects, with the aim of developing the museum activity.
