The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina once again achieved outstanding results, repeating their successes from previous international competitions and bringing home the brightest medals.
Heartfelt congratulations to our Edna, as well as to all BiH representatives who achieved excellent results, were extended by Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević: Dear Edna, Amina, Amel, Emir, Fahro, Harun, and Njegoš, my sincerest congratulations on your dedicated work and contribution to the successful realization of this important international sporting event. Your courage and sporting spirit are an inspiration to us all and proof that perseverance and unity can lead to great achievements. We are proud of you and grateful that, through your effort and your smiles, you have sent the most beautiful image of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the world. I also extend congratulations on your effort and great contribution to your success to the entire devoted, enthusiastic, and hardworking team of Special Olympics BiH, said the Minister.

The Winter Games “Emil Open” are international winter games intended for children and youth with all types of disabilities, aged 10 to 26. This year marked their fourth edition. The competition brought together more than 250 participants from seven European countries—Albania, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia—with the aim of promoting inclusion, equality, and the right to engage in sports for all.
Participation and the results achieved at the Winter Games “Emil Open” confirm the continuous international engagement of Special Olympics BiH in developing inclusive sports, promoting the sporting potential of persons with disabilities, and strengthening the visibility of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European sports scene.
