Report on the work of the Institute for the Monuments’ Protection for the period 4 – 8 May 2026

  • Request for the issuance of consent for the ongoing maintenance of a residential building at 28 Alifakovac Street in Sarajevo;
  • Request for approval to place an advertising sticker with the company’s logo and one illuminated advertising sticker in two segments in the ATM area of ​​the branch on the ground floor of the building at Štrosmajerova Street 3 in Sarajevo;
  • Request for an expert opinion on the conceptual design of evacuation routes as part of the project “Executive project for the reconstruction of the third floor of the Central Office of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina at 25 Maršala Tita Street in Sarajevo;
  • Request for an expert opinion on the project of renovation of the facade of the building at Jelića Street 1 in Sarajevo;
  • Communication with the carpenter who makes joinery for Semiz ali Pasha’s turbe in Prača;
  • Regular expert supervision of facade works on the Central Bank building in Sarajevo;
    The meeting was attended by representatives of the contractor – “ITC” d.o.o. from Zenica, representative of daily supervision from the company “IPSA” d.o.o. from Sarajevo and representatives of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments. At the meeting, the daily supervision informed the attendees that the mortar provided for in the project does not have adequate characteristics and that a problem appears during its application, because it does not adhere to the existing substrate. The contractor, in collaboration with a technologist from Baumit, proposed two new plasters and applied them to the facade so that the appropriate one could be selected. After reviewing the technical data sheet, Baumit MultiWhite was selected, a white multifunctional lime-based renovation plaster with a minimum percentage of Portland white cement necessary for the plaster to bond to the existing facade.
