Report on the activities of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments for the period from 24 to 27 February 2026

  • Drafting of expert opinions for: 1. cutting down two rotten ash trees in Hafiza Ibrahima Trebinjca street, near the Pod takiš mosque, in order to prevent possible major unwanted consequences for people and property; 2. renovation of the walls in the Old Town of Tešanj; 3. placement of advertising on the building in Sarači street number 32 and 4. ongoing maintenance work on Džemal Bijedić’s house in Mostar in the protected zone HUK Mostar;
  • Drafting of a letter for the Federal Inspectorate regarding the installation of a memorial plaque in Maršala Tiita Street, No. 175 in Mostar;
  • Meeting with the delegation of the Municipality of Tešanj and the Tešanj Museum, including the director of the Tešanj Museum, Mensura Mujkanović, on the topic of restoration and conservation of the national monument Old Town Tešanj. At the meeting, it was agreed that the Institute will draw up guidelines and program tasks, while Tešanj Municipality will provide funds from its budget and from public tenders at other levels of government and thus finance the development of the project to which the Institute will give consents and approvals.
