On Saturday, 13 September 2025, the performance “I Want to Live” was held as a part of the 20th Pitchwise Women’s Art and Activism Festival.
“I Want to Live” is a project inspired by the fates of refugee women who are in search of imaginary homelands and whose goal is to highlight their interests, memories, fears, while the most important question they are asked is: what have they never said, but wanted to?
These brave women are constantly on the move, fleeing stoning, humiliation and wars, longing for freedom, relying only on themselves.
The goal of this project is to raise awareness about gender-based violence.
The performance was attended by Bjanka Alajbegović, senior professional associate for music, stage and film activities, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports.
