The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted at its 18th session, held on 30 October 2023, the Decision on Creation of the Youth Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until 2027, upon proposal of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports. At the beginning of this year, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports appointed an Interdepartmental Working Group for Development of the Youth Strategy. The Working Group is composed of about twenty members, representatives of federal ministries and other administrative organisations, the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and representatives of the Youth Development Institute “Kult” as consultants.

At its third meeting, held on 7 May 2024, in Mostar, the Working Group at which determined measures for realisation of the strategic priorities defined in the Strategic Platform. Furthermore, the meeting attendants were informed that the process of public consultations on the adopted Strategic Platform had been successfully completed.

One of the conclusions of the meeting is that the working text of the Youth Strategy will be finished by 28 May 2024, after which a conference/dialogue will be held with all relevant stakeholders from the youth sector in BiH, which will begin the process of public consultations on the final text of the Youth Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until 2027.

The Working Group has within its so-far activities established strategic goals, priorities and measures in youth-related areas that are under the jurisdiction of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
