On 25 April 2024, Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević and Advisors to the Minister, Anita Vlašić and Damir Bunoza attended the opening ceremony of the 26th Mostar Spring – Days of Matica Hrvatska, which included the exhibition of Sofija Naletilić Penavuša, from the funds of the Franciscan Gallery and Museum in Široki Brijeg.
The event was attended by numerous guests from the cultural and political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On behalf of the organisers, the President of Matica Hrvatska Mostar, Ljerka Ostojić, addressed the attendees and said, inter alia: “This year, just like all previous years, we will offer a rich theatre programme. Our guests will be the Gala Theatre from Zagreb, the Gavran Theatre, the RS National Theatre from Banja Luka with the wonderful comedy ‘Steel Magnolias’. The Mostar Spring manifestation will include also book presentations, art exhibitions by academic painters, an evening of Dalmatian songs and much more.”
The exhibition of Sofija Naletilić Penavuša featured 23 sculptures illustrating Penavuša’s world and surroundings, whereas in the musical part of the programme, the singing ethnic group “Čuvarice” (The Keepers) from Rama performed.
