On 9 April 2025, a meeting was held at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with representatives of the Sarajevo Photography Festival, Festival Director Aida Redžepagić and Producer Lejla Čamo. On behalf of the Ministry, the meeting was attended by Sanja Arnautović, Head of the Department for Institutions and Associations in the Field of Culture and Tidža Mekić, Head of the Department for Publishing, Libraries, Fine Arts, Music and Performing Arts.
Representatives of the Sarajevo Photography Festival presented the programme of this year’s Fourth Festival, which would be organised from 9 to 15 June, and which, as they emphasised, was becoming a recognizable and significant cultural event in Sarajevo and beyond.
The Festival has so far gathered over 20,000 participants, and the events took place in prestigious Sarajevo locations such as the Art Gallery, the Bosnian Cultural Centre, the History Museum, the City Hall, the Ars Aevi Center, the Museum of Theatre Arts and Literature, the Goethe Institute, as well as in the city’s public spaces. So far, 19 exhibitions, more than 20 lectures, 4 book promotions have been organised through the Festival programme activities, and applications have been received from as many as 58 countries around the world.
“Our goal is for the Sarajevo Photography Festival to become an even more important cultural event that will further enrich the cultural scene of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and create a platform that connects artists and audiences from all over the world,” said the Festival Director Aida Redžepagić.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports expressed its support for the previous efforts of the organizers and its willingness to work on strengthening future cooperation in order to further promote photography and visual arts.
