Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević and Assistant Minister for Youth, Adis Salkić, participated in the Conference “Step by Step to Better Youth Policies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which was organized on 10 July 2023 in the Holiday Hotel in Sarajevo by the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a part of the G(ua)rant(ee) Youth Project, with the support of the KULT Youth Development Institute.
Minister Vlaisavljević emphasized in her opening address the importance of creating an environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina that will provide young people with all the necessary conditions for a quality and prosperous life, and that will be encouraging for young people to wish to return to their homeland after traveling to other countries and exchanging experiences with their peers abroad. “We expect the first steps towards creation of the Youth Strategy in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to be taken within the shortest time possible. This Strategy shall serve as a framework document that will help all of us to make good, positive changes for young people,” said Minister Vlaisavljević, stressing that the Federal the Ministry of Culture and Sports shall continue cooperation with the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the desire that young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina unite in achieving common goals.
After the first Thematic Session of the Commission for Youth Affairs, held last year, at which a series of conclusions and recommendations in various areas were taken, with the aim of improving the position of young people in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this Conference was an excellent opportunity to summarize the achievements made so far and develop opportunities for their further implementation.
