On 29 May 2025, a meeting was held at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports between Dževdet Tuzlić, a long-time journalist and editor, and Sanja Arnautović, Head of the Department for Institutions and Associations in the Field of Culture. The topic of the meeting was the presentation of the project of the monograph “80 Years of Radio Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which is being prepared to mark eight decades of public broadcasting in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Tuzlić presented in detail the concept of the monograph, which aims to document the history of public broadcasting in Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting from the founding of Radio Sarajevo in 1945, through the establishment of Television Sarajevo in the early 1960s, and up to today’s BHRT. The publication will contain documents, facts, photographs and authentic testimonies of more than a hundred participants and witnesses of the development of the public service, including the period of the siege of Sarajevo, when BHRT continued to operate despite extremely difficult conditions.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports expresses its support for this project, recognizing its importance in preserving and promoting the media and cultural history of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
