On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the Archbishop of Upper Bosnia, Metropolitan Mons. Tomo Vukšić received the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević in the Archbishop’s Residence in Sarajevo. During the conversation, emphasis was placed on the successful cooperation so far and the possibility of its further improvement.

The continuous support of the Ministry for the restoration, protection and preservation of sacred buildings, which represent not only the religious, but also the cultural and historical value of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is particularly highlighted. It was concluded that restoration projects of sacred buildings are an important part of preserving identity, tradition and heritage.

Archbishop Vukšić thanked for the past support for both sacred objects and associations that promote cultural values, stressing the importance of institutional care for sacred heritage, while Minister Vlaisavljević once again confirmed the commitment of the Ministry to continue cooperation through concrete projects and programs.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and open dialogue, with mutual readiness to strengthen cooperation in the field of cultural and spiritual heritage protection.
