A meeting was held at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with the representatives of the Sports Football Club SFK Sarajevo 2000, one of the most successful women’s football teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting was attended by the Club’s President Samira Hurem, Vice-president Anela Potura and Secretary General Azra Humanović. The meeting was chaired by Alma Kurtalić, an Expert Advisor from the Sports Division of the Ministry.

During the meeting, the representatives of the Club informed the Ministry about the challenges faced in the functioning of the Club, particularly highlighting the lack of financial resources for preparations and competitions, which significantly complicated the planning and implementation of sports activities. They also pointed out to insufficient support and acceptance of women’s sports in the public.

The representative of the Ministry thanked for the visit and the open discussion, and emphasised that the presented problems and suggestions would be taken into consideration when creating future support programmes in the field of sports, with a special focus on improving the position of women in sports and creating equal conditions for the development of women’s sports teams. The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports remains committed to strengthening equality and inclusiveness in the sports sector throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
