Representatives of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports met with the representatives of the Cantonal Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage of Sarajevo and of the City Museum of Sarajevo in the Despić House in Sarajevo, the national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They were joined by members of the working team of the contractor – the Association for Intercultural Activities and Saving Heritage in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Foundation for Local Democracy.
On that occasion, the contractor presented a copy of one position of the external “box” wooden window, which was modelled after the existing window. After the final instructions were given, the works officially commended. The production of external carpentry was financially supported by the European Union.
In the period from 2000 to 2006 a complete restoration and conservation of the Despić house was performed according to the project of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage of BiH by Azra Hadžić, Aleksandra Ninković and Emina Hašimbegović.
