The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, signed today in the Ministry the Agreement on the Allocation of Financial Funds for 2024 with the President of the “Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, Iman Maslić.

The funds in amount of KM 50,000 are intended for co-financing of the „Programme activities of the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina“. The amount has this year been significantly increased compared to previous years.

“The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sport is committed to cooperate with the Youth Council of BiH, which is a live body that represents the young people who are working, creating, promoting and searching. The Ministry will always be supporting you in that process. That will be my intention, my duty and my obligation as long as I am the minister.“ said minister Sanja Vlaisavljević.

At the signing ceremony, Adis Salkić, Assistant Minister for Youth and Coordinator of the Working Group for Development of the FBiH Youth Strategy, emphasized that the significantly increased funds for the FBiH Youth Council were only one of the steps the Ministry planned to take with the purpose of improving the position of the young people:

“The funds intended this year for the FBiH Youth Council have increased by almost 80% compared to previous years, which is a huge step forward. This is just one of the planned steps to follow in support of the FBiH Youth Council in the upcoming period. One of them is certainly the drafting of the most important document for youth at the FBiH level – the FBiH Youth Strategy, which is now being finalized, and in the drafting of which the FBiH Youth Council showed great seriousness and was an equal partner”, Salkić pointed out, and with particular enthusiasm announced the formation of the Youth Board of the Federation of BiH in the coming period.

“The FBiH Youth Council highly appreciates the support of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, which is our partner in everything. I believe that we have justified your trust, and we will continue to do so in the future”, concluded the President of the Council, Iman Maslić. The signing ceremony was also attended by Franko Matković from the FBiH Youth Council.
