Federal Minister of Culture and Sports meets with Mara and Branka Perić

Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, held a meeting with director Branka Perić and screenwriter Mara Perić. In an open conversation, they exchanged opinions on the importance of domestic film production, the role of cinematography in affirming cultural identity, and the challenges faced by authors in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The authors recalled the premiere of the film “Diva” which was held in September last year in Mostar, emphasizing the importance of institutional support and the presence of the minister at the event. They emphasized that the film met with a strong response from the audience and critics, and that it has already attracted the attention of the wider international public. “Diva” has been recognized as a work that is watched and commented on beyond the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, confirming that domestic cinematography can reach world standards and arouse the interest of a global audience.

The discussion also touched on the topic of the new project of this author couple, which they emphasized will only be presented to the public, but that it will certainly attract attention and arouse interest in the cultural and film scene.

Minister Vlaisavljević expressed support for projects that contribute to the development of film art, emphasizing that the Ministry remains open to initiatives that encourage creative expression and international visibility of domestic authors. The film “Diva” was highlighted as an example of a successful production that connects local themes with universal messages, confirming the importance of film art in the cultural life of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
