On Tuesday, 26 March 2024, the award-presentation ceremony for the most successful athletes, sports teams and sports workers of the City of Mostar for the year 2023 was held in the crowded Queens Hall of the Mepas Hotel in Mostar. This was the 22nd election of the best athlete of the City on the Neretva River, where the jury, chaired by the legendary goalkeeper Enver Marić elected the very best in 16 different categories.
As expected, the title of the most successful female athlete in the senior category went to the golden girl Lana Pudar, while Nemanja Bilbija was elected the most successful senior athlete, whereas his Team, the double-crowned HŠK Zrinjski, was declared the best male senior team. The most successful women’s senior team in 2023 is Women’s Football Team Emina.
The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports presented an award to the best sports worker in 2023, Dragan Palameta, President of the Mostar Table Tennis Club.
On this occasion, Minister Vlaisavljević congratulated all award-winners, as well as all the candidates in different categories. She expressed her satisfaction with the fact that among the awarded athletes and teams she recognised many who had visited the Ministry and with whom the Ministry had already established cooperation. On this occasion, the Minister emphasised once again that the doors of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports were always open to everyone.
