Edna Šunjić, employee of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports travels to Turin, Italy on 7 March 2025 to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the upcoming Special Olympics World Winter Games, held from 8 to 15 March 2025.

On this occasion, Edna’s colleagues from the Ministry prepared a farewell party, where they sent her best wishes for the Olympics. Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević addressed her with words of support before this important competition:

“Special Olympics in Turin! From 8 March, our Edna Šunjić will also defend the colours of our beautiful Bosnia and Herzegovina!” Our star, our little-big hero, employee of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, our reminder that life is only one and unrepeatable and that love transcends all boundaries. 8 March is the day that celebrates the strength of women throughout history, and 8 March is the day when the story of our Edna’s courage begins. With the motto “Let me win”, a message to our Edna is as follows: Edna, you are our winner already now!”

Hard preparations in the past period, but also great enthusiasm and desire for success, are Edna’s best allies on the way to realising another dream.

On this journey, Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević will accompany her wholeheartedly with her closest associates who, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, will attend the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics in Turin and support our Edna, as well as the entire BiH delegation, and point out the common mission of inclusion and equality for all!
