The manifestation titled “Days of Italian Sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina” is organised this year for the first time. The event was opened on Tuesday, 12 September 2024 at the Olympic Museum in sarajevo, where “Conversations with Paola Magoni” was held. Paola Magoni won the gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo in 1984 at the age of 19. Magoni shared her extraordinary experience through conversation with journalist Lorenzo Fabian, author of the book “Sarajevo ’84 – Days of Harmony”.
The organisers of the event, the Ambassador of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marco Di Ruzza, and the Director of the City Museums, Senka Ibrišimbegović, emphasised the importance of promoting sports in everyday life and motivating the young people to do sports.
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the event was attended by Alma Kurtalić, Expert Advisor in the Sports Division.
